When I accepted the role of CEO at Innovation Depot a few months ago, I did so with a mission: to help Birmingham establish more startup companies per capita than any other city in the country. It’s a bold goal, but I believe it’s also an attainable one. Locally founded companies like Shipt, Fleetio and Theranest have experienced rapid success over the past several years, and I’m convinced we can bring a lot more of that innovative prosperity to Birmingham.
